Стремясь оказать поддержку дайвинг-индустрии страны, Департамент туризма (DOT) в этом году проводит онлайн-конференцию Philippine International Dive Expo (PHIDEX) с 19 по 21 марта 2021 года.
PHIDEX – крупнейшая на Филиппинах платформа для общения дайвинг-сообщества с 2019 года. Глобальная пандемия COVID-19 привела к тому, что мероприятие на данный момент стало виртуальным, но при этом новый формат позволит выставке охватить еще больше членов дайвинг-сообщества.

«Поскольку Филиппины известны во всем мире как первоклассное направление для дайвинга, действительно важно, чтобы мы сделали все возможное, чтобы поддержать местную дайвинг-индустрию. На последней церемонии вручения награды World Travel Awards 2020 года Филиппины были признаны ведущим местом для дайвинга в мире. Вот лишь некоторые известные личности, уже подтвердившие свое участие в мероприятии: куратор Калифорнийской академии наук доктор Терри Гослинер, французско-британский подводный фотограф Хенли Спирс, отмеченная премией Эмми пара документалистов Ховард и Мишель Холл, посол PADI и комиссар PCSSD Бо Манкао, экономист и общественный деятель Филиппинского университета Тара Абрина, немецкий подводный фотограф Тобиас Фридрих и многие другие. Каждый докладчик подробно раскроет темы, связанные с дайвинг-индустрией и защитой Филиппинских морей.
Все эти лекции и панельные дискуссии участники выставки смогут посетить на сайте мероприятия, состоящего из трех разделов: основная сцена, выставочная сцена и панельная сцена. Также веб-сайт станет площадкой, на которой дайверы смогут обменяться опытом со своими коллегами и смогут приобрести оборудование у партнеров и экспонентов. Здесь же посетители смогут посетить раздел виртуального рынка под названием Dive Travel Exchange или TRAVEX.
